NSC’s Moving Low-Skill SNAP Recipients Toward Self-Sufficiency (A User’s Guide)

The National Skills Coalition released a publication intended to help those in the field of workforce development better understand the structure and requirements of SNAP Employment and Training programs.  The guide, “Moving Low-Skill SNAP Recipients Toward Self-Sufficiency” (see below for link) includes an introduction to program administration, state strategies and funding, essential program characteristics, issues of participant eligibility, placement and reimbursement, funding structure, how to avoid unallowable cost problems, community college partnerships and a comparison of SNAP work requirements and time limits.
