The federal SNAP “time limit” for able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs) goes back into effect January 1, 2016 in Massachusetts.

Remember: ABAWDs who are unable to work full time, chronically homeless, pregnant, live with a child OR who live in certain parts of the state with high unemployment as approved by USDA are among the many individuals exempt from these time limit rules.
